Make Your Own Wormery

A step by step guide to creating your own wormery all on 1 page of A4. This includes images and ‘things you need’ list as well as tips to look after the worms!
Worm farms are a fantastic way to teach children about gardening, worms, compost and natural life cycles. Making their own wormery will get children up close and personal with these amazing creatures and allow them to see for themselves how worms help to create compost from plant waste. Worms are a really important part of the ecosystem and by producing compost, they help to keep the soil full of nutrients that help plants grow healthily.
Children can also get involved in the process of adding plant waste to the compost bin, and documenting the change that occurs every few days in the wormery.
