A digital literacy plan for early years.A comprehensive approach to teaching young children the skills, knowledge, and understanding necessary to navigate and use digital technology effectively and responsibly.
The plan is over six half terms in the reception year and has activities for each half term.
Covering:
- Introduction to digital devices
- Basic computer skills
- Developing creativity with digital tools
- Introduction to coding
- Online safety
- Using technology for learning
This can be adapted depending on the cultural capital of your cohort.
This plan aims to equip all children with digital skills from an early age, preparing them for the increasingly technology-driven world they will encounter as they grow up.

Phonics Phase 1 planning
This is great we have printed it out and we use daily for the Nursery children for a short Phonics activity. It has saved me loads of time and is really well thought out and each activity is clearly explained so the staff know what to do. Each time they teach Phonics they are becoming more confident with presenting.
