Guided Maths Year 1 – Geometry
This Year 1 Planning covers the following objectives:
- Recognise and name 2D and 3D shapes
- Recognise shapes in everyday objects 2D and 3D
- Order and arrange objects and shapes in repeating patterns
- Describe position, direction and movement
- Describe position, direction and movement
This is 6 weeks of planning covering the above objectives and has a session to do each day and can be completed in small groups while others are accessing continuous provision.

This is great we have printed it out and we use daily for the Nursery children for a short Phonics activity. It has saved me loads of time and is really well thought out and each activity is clearly explained so the staff know what to do. Each time they teach Phonics they are becoming more confident with presenting.
