Mixed Nursery / Reception – Literacy Medium Term Plan Autumn 1
This is in-depth medium term planning for Reception and Nursery for Literacy for 1 year.
It is split into each half term and includes useful information such as texts/resources, objectives, cross curricular links, vocabulary, key questions, focus tasks and independent tasks.
This planning will ensure you fully cover every aspect of the EYFS but also allows flexibility in response to children’s further lines of enquiry. Useful for collaborating with other members of your team and SLT.
Through medium-term planning, you can map out when and how to assess children’s learning and development. This helps in tracking progress, identifying any learning gaps, and adjusting teaching strategies if needed.
This medium term planning can be used as part of a 2-year rolling programme with the current Mixed Nursery and Reception planning.

Phonics Phase 1 planning
This is great we have printed it out and we use daily for the Nursery children for a short Phonics activity. It has saved me loads of time and is really well thought out and each activity is clearly explained so the staff know what to do. Each time they teach Phonics they are becoming more confident with presenting.
